Support for grief and loss, adjustment to illness, and other life transitions
Individual Counseling
I provide individual counseling for adults, creating a caring and safe space for you to process life’s challenges. I offer a free phone consultation to see if the fit is right, followed by an initial intake session. This session involves a comprehensive assessment of your background, what brings you to counseling, and what you are hoping to get out of our work together. From there, we will establish follow-up appointment frequency and develop a collaborative treatment plan to help you meet your goals.
I use a HIPAA-compliant platform called Simple Practice that centralizes your care. On the digital client portal you will be able to access our teletherapy sessions, fill out intake paperwork, send messages securely, receive reminders for appointments, process payments, and print statements for insurance claims.
Teletherapy provides the opportunity to talk to a licensed mental health professional from home, and can be as effective as in person sessions. The benefits of teletherapy include receiving support where you feel most comfortable, recapturing time spent traveling to and from a physical office, and flexibility if you are ill, homebound, or unable to drive. Be sure to have a private, quiet space in your home for sessions to ensure confidentiality and reduce distractions.

I am not paneled with any insurance provider, however I can provide you with a statement to submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
Please check with your insurance provider about your specific out-of-network coverage, deductible, and reimbursement rate.
No Surprises Act
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of services. If you are uninsured or are not submitting to your insurance carrier for reimbursement, I am required to provide a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your first session. You can also ask me for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
